Creating a self-taped virtual audition

You can create your Eco Cast  by filming everything first then loading it into the computer. This method is not recommended because the transfer is done in real time (like copying video tape to DVD) . That is, it takes just as much time to copy the video to the computer as it did to record it in the first place.

The recommended method is to record the auditions directly to your computer’s hard drive. Breakdown Services provides tutorials for two video applications: Microsoft’s Movie Maker and Apple’s Quick Time. Of course, you can use any program as long as the video is in a supported file format:

.avi Video Files
.flv Flash Video
.mov QuickTime Video
.mp3 MP3 Audio File
.mp4 MPEG-4 Files
.mpg or .mpeg MPEG Video
.wmv Windows Media Video
